Simmer Pots?

Why Simmer Pots?

 * Non-toxic and Chemical-free: Unlike many commercial air fresheners and scented candles that contain synthetic fragrances and chemicals, simmer pots use natural ingredients like flowers, fruits, herbs, and spices. This makes them a healthier alternative, especially good for headache sufferers.

 * Gentle, natural scents: The subtle, simmering action releases fragrance gradually, creating a gentle and layered scent throughout your home.  The scents are familiar and non-artificial.

 * Humidifies the air: As the water simmers, it releases steam, which can help to add moisture to dry indoor air. This can be beneficial for your skin and respiratory system.

 * Aromatherapy benefits: The natural essential oils released from the ingredients can have therapeutic effects. For example, citrus scents can be mood-boosting, while herbs like rosemary can be invigorating.

 * Sustainable and 100% Compostable: Made from food-grade ingredients, with very little waste in the production process. Ingredients are biodegradable and can be easily composted.

* Aesthetic appeal: A simmering pot on the stove can add a warm and inviting touch to your kitchen. Clear pots or a beautiful enameled Dutch oven can add to the visual appeal.

But I like candles.

Absolutely!  So do we.  Especially if they are vege-based and hand-poured by our fellow crafters and makers.

Simmer Pots are another home fragrance option with TOTALLY DIFFERENT scent profiles than candles, sprays, or outlet air fresheners.  Simmer pots also  have additional benefits in that they are chemical-free, humidify the air, and are made with sustainable and compostable ingredients.

Simmer pots are a great option if you are chemical sensitive, headache prone, or have respiratory issues or if you are trying to reduce your environmental footprint. They are also cozy and yummy and will improve the overall vibe in your home.  So, you don’t have to ditch your favorite candles but you deserve options!

Kit or Scoopable?

Our Simmer Pot Kits are “single use” - kind of. Just empty the kit into a pot of water and simmer. Add water as needed, and you can simmer these for up to a week. You can also strain the water and store in an airproof container in the fridge and then use again. This is a great option if you can’t decide on just one fragrance or if you want to turn someone on to the simmer pot game.

Scoopables are the same ingredients as our kits, but the ingredients are cut down to a scoopable size and are multi-use. Since you are adding 2-3 Tablespoons to your simmer pot, you should get 5-6 uses from each scoopable jar. This is the more economical option if you know what fragrance you want.
